I've never been to Ireland. Sigh . . . . It's second on my list of dream destinations though, right after Croatia. As much as I love train travel, I kind of envision driving around the Irish countryside in a car, taking back roads, sleeping in cottage inns, and mingling with the locals. I'd love to do it with the kids along, but it also sounds like a romantic little trip my husband and I could manage in our retirement. We'll see.
My husband and I visited Ireland when I was pregnant with my older daughter - we loved it and would very much like to return with our kids. My younger daughter is lobbying for a trip there next March as she has heard that they dye the river in Dublin green for St. Patrick's Day and she'd like to see that. :)
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Ireland either, but its on my list. Croatia I can definitely recommend! Been there twice now and just love it. Can't wait to go back!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I visited Ireland last year. We found that when we went off the beaten path, was when we were the most awestruck. Such an incredible country!
