Thinking of the Windsors today . . . .
(Photo of Windsor Castle taken by me in 1976.)
I feel compelled to publish an afternoon edit today about how much I enjoyed watching the Royal Wedding. There's not much I'll willingly sacrifice sleep for, but I was up at the wee hours this morning with the TV on and a box of tissues by my side. I even woke up my daughter as soon as the bride appeared from her hotel. The wedding was extraordinary, and the epitome of joy for a Europhile.
God save the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

I missed most of it earlier this morning, but caught the moment when she stepped on the balcony and said, "Oh wow." I thought it was one of the sweetest things I'd ever seen. Absolutely fabulous to get some good news these days.

ReplyDeleteI love the colouring in this shot! I often try to mimic pics from the 70s but just can't seem to do it. And what a great wedding it was, it made me miss London!
