It'll Cost Ya

  1. I keep trying to post this to your winterwear posting to no avail:
I'm a new follower, and an American living in Europe. We travel frequently (in all seasons!) with our 5-year-old, so I can relate to this post. Even overseas, we mostly shop for winterwear for travel at www.sierratradingpost.com (no, I am not an employee!). We save a bundle on winter wear. I think that in Europe in the winter, down or wool jackets are essential, I love Bridgedale ski socks-they're warm and practically go up to your knees, which is nice even when you're NOT skiing! We always wear silk long underwear and, of course, the warmest hat in the world is a huge bonus. A common piece of winter wear with the "locals" is soft shell clothing, which is a little more wind and weather proof than fleece, and is a nice layer under a jacket.

I'm a new-ish blogger, still getting our family travel blog rolling at: http://afterschoolexpat.blogspot.com/

  2. Hi Megan! Thanks for letting me know about the computer glitch! And thanks especially for following and for your great advice about dressing for winter! I have looked at sierratradingpost.com and like what I see. I will check out your blog too!
