Photo Friday: Erasmus Bridge

My 11 year old son took this very artistic photo of the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, last summer when we were crossing it on our bikes.  It is the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world and spans 2,600 feet across the river.

Check out DeliciousBaby.com for other great travel photos.

  1. The funny thing is that when I studied in the Netherlands (where I met my husband), we were part of the Erasmus program. I don't know the story of the origin of Erasmus, but it must all be named after the same person! I never did see this bridge, though (that I recall), though we had to go to Rotterdam for class.

  2. Your son has talent! I love taking pictures of bridges while on them, looking up. Completely different perspective.

  4. Looks like you've got another photographer in the family. It's such a cool looking bridge. Gonna run past it on a race in a couple of weeks.

  5. Great shot! I loved taking photos from my car through the sun roof as we were crossing bridges...some of my favorite images of bridges came about that way.
